Frankie (# 641) is estimated to be 8-10 years
old. He is a tiny little fellow, weighing in around 14
lbs. Frankie was not neutered as a young dog and when he
began marking inside the house, was kept outside. Before
coming into KPR, he did not have any medical care, but
we are happy to say he is now neutered, up to date on
all his vaccinations, and on heartworm and flea
preventative. He had to have 13 teeth extracted, but
this seems to be no big deal to Frankie. He loves his
soft food and doesn’t mind to eat his housemates’ dry
kibble, given the chance!
Frankie is on medication for his enlarged heart, ¼ pill
twice a day, but he’ll take that easily either in his
soft food or buried in a piece of Pupperoni. He
occasionally has a cough, but does well otherwise. He
loves his crate, and will typically go right back into
it after going out to potty or to eat or play with the
other pugs at his foster mom’s house. He loves to be
loved and is perfectly willing to just sit by your feet.
He doesn’t like hard floors, so you have to really coax
him to walk across a room that is not carpeted! He is
beginning to have cataract problems, and so he bumps
into things sometimes, but it doesn’t seem to bother him
at all!
Frankie had a marking problem but has gotten much better
now that he is crate-trained. He rarely has an accident
anymore, and sleeps all night in his crate. He is a
little lover, and would make a quiet home a wonderful
companion.
