Barney (#505) is one of the friendliest pugs his foster Mom has ever met. Barney is 11 years ‘young’ - he runs everywhere he goes and plays longer than his foster pug friends. Barney is very healthy, other than he is almost deaf. Had we not mentioned it, you probably wouldn’t know because he is extremely alert and knows when you’re calling for him. He loves playing outside but also loves to come back inside to cool down on his favorite pillow. Barney spent much of his life roaming outside on a farm, so he loves to explore and is always ready for an adventure. He loves to give smooches with his little sideways tongue and walks well on a leash. He enjoys car rides and is great with children. Barney does extremely well with other dogs, and although he used to be a cat chaser, he has slowed that for the most part. He has never hurt one – he’s just interested in a playful chase. The best thing about Barney is that he will lie with you and be as relaxed as you want, or he will gladly run and play with you in the yard and show plenty of energy.
